This description is that of an ideal. Most humans wish to be loved, enjoy playful activities, to feel happy and to achieve meaningful work. Therefore, we must seek to deeply understand each other so we may cooperate in harmonic balance. What holds a group together is a strong concept or central shared goal that includes basic core values important to all humans such as respect or mutual support. In all forms of group endeavors, conflicts naturally arise because individuals see things differently. Shared processes of conflict resolution create the staying power for groups to survive hurt feelings while processing and integrating interesting events. A continued spirit of cooperation and the freedom of expression allows members to see the life-giving benefits of being in the group or relationship despite the growing pains, time it takes and potential hassles.
The Jollyamory Network is guided by numerous universal principles of truth including knowledge of the Enneagram* personality system. The nine Enneagram essence qualities are strength, peace, truth, love, energy, beauty, wisdom, connection and joy. All humans carry within them a tendency towards expression of certain innate essence qualities while other traits may be suppressed depending on their personality type. Humans also tend to be influenced by the learned behavior of their parent’s types.
The orientation patterns that manifest are the subject of study within The Jollyamory Network with the goal to create the ideal, to become a family-like group of loving, playful friends who connect to each other and the earth to enjoy the creation, free of egoic-made constraint and pregnant with joy and possibility. The ego is another name for the saboteur, the tricky thought stream that often misuses logic and leads to the placement of obstacles in our path and that of others. An egoic-made constraint is a limitation that is unnecessary and blocks the greater growth of an individual or group. On the other hand, limitations can be selected in a healthy way, they provide structure and are an important offshoot of our own inner plan and the intersection with the group’s inner plan or guiding principles.
The Jollyamory Network utilizes the idea of The Co-Creation Circle. This circle includes all life, rock beings, plant beings, animal beings and human beings. There is also the awareness of unseen forces entering the arena of action, termed The Beyond. The universe appears to be set up as a gigantic and often mysterious guessing game. However, by joining our minds and hearts, we are together yet separate thus gaining some relief from the illusion of isolation which leads to much frustration. We, of unique and distinct personalities, can join The Co-Creation Circle with all life, cross The Bridge to All-Ways and revel in the fullness of the group dynamic. This group being serves as a vessel, potentially holding an abundance of strength, peace, truth, love, energy, beauty, wisdom, connection and joy. The possibilities are endless!
